Growing up in Watchem in Victoria’s Mallee, Joe flew through school at Watchem Primary and then at Birchip for high school. After leaving school he started in Livestock as a cheeky 18 year old with VPC in 1990 under the expert guidance of Pat Finnegan. His journey began in earnest with a move to the Mail Room in Melbourne (where Joe brags that he set the Livestock Industry record for the most licked stamps in a single day) and on to Bendigo, Rochester, Corowa, Kerang, Donald and Echuca. He then joined Elders in Balranald before heading back to Swan Hill with Elders/VPC. In 2002 Joe accepted an offer to join BR&C Agents, and has been an integral cog in the business since.
Having played footy as a clever mid-fielder with a knack of getting the ball from under the noses of his opponents, he has played much of his football at Murrabit, the 2005 premiership being one of his fondest footy memories.
Now the husband of the wonderful…and patient Andrea…and father to four ‘ripping’ kids, Joe spends any spare time he has with them on a speedboat or out camping and fishing.
Joe loves the atmosphere of BR&C and the people he works with, and prides himself as someone who can communicate the best options and find the best possible price for your stock, as he knows that his business is to help you grow yours.
